Torton Bodies Ltd, who are leading the way for bespoke mobile medical units, recently partnered with DailyMale, a Bermudian initiative dedicated to improving men’s health. DailyMale provides free screenings for prostate cancer and cardiovascular disease, specifically targeting uninsured and underinsured men who might otherwise struggle to access healthcare.
Recognising the critical role of accessibility, DailyMale required a purpose-built mobile clinic capable of reaching communities across the island, a first of its kind on the island. Torton designed, manufactured, and exported a fully equipped mobile clinic vehicle tailored to their needs. The unit includes consultation rooms, diagnostic equipment areas, and waiting space, ensuring screenings can be carried out efficiently and privately.
Torton’s decades of experience in mobile healthcare innovation allowed them to create a robust, reliable, and patient-friendly facility suitable for Bermuda’s climate and terrain, and was kitted out to Bermuda regulations and electrical requirements. By exporting this vehicle, Torton supported DailyMale’s mission to reduce health inequalities and promote early detection of life-threatening conditions.
The project not only exemplifies Torton’s engineering expertise and flexibility but also highlights the company’s contribution to global health. Through this collaboration, Bermuda now has a unique mobile solution helping men take charge of their health, one screening at a time.
