Torton Bodies are a specialist in mobile medical and dental facilities, and have recently completed the successful export of a double surgery dental clinic to New Zealand. The vehicle was originally part of Torton’s established hire fleet, which provides high-quality mobile clinics to NHS trusts, private healthcare providers, and specialist organisations across the UK.
When a New Zealand healthcare provider approached Torton with the requirement for a mobile solution, the company quickly recognised that one of its hire fleet vehicles could be adapted to meet the client’s needs. Given the geographical distance and the client’s preference for outright ownership, Torton agreed to sell the unit rather than contract hire it.
The double surgery dental clinic was fully equipped with two dental chairs, sterilisation facilities, patient waiting space, X-ray facilities, disabled access lift, on-board generator and more, ensuring it could provide comprehensive treatment in remote and underserved areas. Prior to export, the vehicle was serviced, refurbished, and customised to comply with New Zealand standards.
This project highlights Torton’s flexibility and international capability, demonstrating how the company can adapt existing fleet assets to meet overseas demand. The successful export strengthened Torton’s reputation as a trusted global supplier of mobile healthcare facilities, delivering quality and innovation worldwide, and isn't the first time Torton have exported to New Zealand.
