Possibly The Largest Mobile Gymnasium

Torton launched earlier this year what is considered to be the countries largest 'Well Person Trailer'. The project is the result of a partnership between Wear Valley District Council, Durham Dales Primary Care Trust, Sport England and Technogym.

The Wellness on Wheels (WOW) trailer used Torton's latest design technology with double hydraulic operated pods that automatically fold the floor and walls away at the touch of a button.

The layout, which can accommodate 16 people exercising at one time, was designed around the equipment brief from Technogym and a support trailer has the large on board generator as well as two office areas for registration and assessment.

The trailer will travel throughout the Wear Valley to promote the benefits of physical activity and encourage key lifestyle changes in local communities in remote, low-income areas.
