Action Cancer

Torton were delighted to have been able to attend the grand opening of the brand new Action Cancer articulated 'BIG Bus' at Hillsborough Castle on 25th September 2006.

It is one of the latest 13.4m articulated units to be produced by Torton this year. The design incorporates Torton's latest design technology with double hydraulic operated pods that automatically fold the floor and walls away at the touch of a button.

It houses counselling and complementary therapy rooms, a training suite, hi-tech computer terminals and a crache. The Big Bus is also fully self-sufficient and accessible, with an internal generator, toilets and a lift for disabled users.

Action Cancer Chief Executive Robin McRoberts said this major healthcare initiative will be the first of its kind in the UK and Ireland. He added; "We are very excited about the Big Bus as it will enable Action Cancer to provide a comprehensive, effective and accessible regional service. It will also offer cancer services for males and females of all ages."

Please visit www.actioncancer.org for further information on how to book or find the BIG Bus.
