25 Years Service

We at Torton were delighted to present employee Chris Barnett with his 25 year long service watch. When Chris joined the company back in 1983 the price of a gallon of petrol was the same as a litre is today.

A lot of other things have changed over the years including Tortons products and Chris's abilities with this.

He started work in the Cabinet Shop, but has since worked his way through most departments making him a most valuable member of the Torton team.

He joins a long list of recipients and is actually the 20th person to celebrate this achievement. 16 of those are still working with us today. I say this, but there is one person missing from the list, as Tom Andrews never presented himself with a watch during his 36 years.

Speaking with colleagues and other companies, this type of presentation is quite rare and a big achievement.

Again a big congratulations to Chris from us all!
