Refurbishment in 4 weeks.

Welsh Water have recently taken delivery of their completely refurbished articulated training unit from Torton.

The refurbishment was carried out within just 4 weeks taking the unit from an exhibition trailer to a fully equipt training unit with the latest technology built in, to include a Smart Board with Projector and computer link, 10 main workstations, server rack and Satelite dish for broadband connection as well as the usual air conditioning and back up generator.

One of the few challenges with the design was to incorporate the satelite dish at roof level but without increasing the overall height. This was achieved by recessing the dish into the rear end of the trailer on a hinged platform to swing up to roof level whilst in use.

"The trailer unit itself has already been in service since 9am Tuesday morning, and is attracting a lot of very positive feedback. It was an excellent job and very speedy. A great credit to you and your team."
